The “Piper at the Falls” will perform every Friday night at 7 p.m. at McGiveron Island at the east side of the falls, weather permitting, throughout July and August. Les Brunton, known as “The Piper of Kintore” and a member of the Stratford Police Pipes and Drums, will share his talents on the highland bagpipes for approximately 45 minutes.
Between Milt Dunnell Field, the Queen Street Bridge, Bennett Park, the Grand Trunk Trestle and even in your canoe or kayak, there are many places where listeners can enjoy the music.
The Piper at the Falls series is possible thanks to local sponsors McDonald’s Independent Grocery Store, Veterinary Purchasing, The Dundas Team Re/Max A-B Realty Ltd., Bickell Built Homes and Trouw Nutrition/Shur-Gain.
Attendees are asked to avoid sitting on McGiveron Island in order to maintain social distancing guidelines. Weather cancellations will be posted to the Town’s social media feeds no later than 6:30 p.m. the day of the event.
